Earlier today at the Walmart off Skillman in North Dallas fans of Batman were treated to a sweet sight. Both of The Dark Knights super sweet rides, The Tumbler and The Bat-Pod. Fans decked out in bat symbol t-shirts gathered around the armored vehicles to snap photos and take in the beautiful sight. As if there was any doubt to the pure awesomeness of these giant working props, when the Tumbler pulled into place it was rumbling the entire parking structure, talk about power. The only thing missing were the flames shooting out the back end.
The excitement was palpable from all in attendance, one youngster exclaiming “BATMOBILE!” as his parents snapped his picture with The Tumbler. For a short while the 101 degree weather was tolerable if it meant getting to see Batman’s biggest gadgets. The point of this event was surely to draw awareness to the upcoming film Dark Knight Rises. Mission most definitely accomplished! Today was a treat for folks in passing and die hard fans of the series. Now the countdown to July 20th begins.
