Dallas Comic Con 2012

Published on May 25th, 2012

The 10 year anniversary of the Dallas Comic Con took Irving by storm over the weekend. Record numbers filled the Irving Convention Center to the seams. Fans dressed as superheros, celebrity guests, vendors, and comic creators, everywhere you looked there was something or someone to see. Amazing when you think that the humble convention was only reaching numbers between two and five thousand attendees a few years ago. This year it hit a whopping Twenty Thousand.

Legends such as Patrick Stewart and Stan Lee were the true icing to the cake. Both guys were so personable with the fans, especially during their Q&A’s. Then there was the beautiful Summer Glau who was a last minute addition and a huge hit with convention goers. I can’t forget the voice of Batman himself Kevin Conroy signing for hours on end both days for FREE. What a true super hero. I personally love going to this convention. Official Pix does a great job of setting up a fun eclectic show I and cant wait to hit up their Fan Days event in October.

But to tide you over until October we have a fun slideshow of some of the sights. If you’ve never been to an official pix event, I suggest hitting one up and supporting your local convention. If this weekends was any suggestion of what the future holds, get your tickets early, they go like hot cakes.
