The Sick Puppies perform at Trees

The Sick Puppies stopped by Trees earlier this week not only putting on a fantastic set, but proving why they’ve been blasting up the charts lately. The three piece band hit the stage around 11 demanding only a few things from the audience as they hit the stage which included bouncing and singing along.

All of which 99 percent of the crowd did without having to really be asked. In fact it’s been a long time since I’ve been to a show where the crowd was genuinely that engaged in the performance taking place. The band not only ripped through their set with the big in your face numbers, but treated the audience to a laid back acoustic set. Lead singer Shim called out a guy down front who was refusing to sing along the whole time, forcing him to sing along with Wonderwall by Oasis.

After the short acoustic set the band kicked it back into high gear, lead guitarist and front man of the band Shim impressively showing off his skills.  Which apparently includes playing his guitar with his mouth believe it or not. The amount of musical talent these three possess should be more than enough to thrust them into stardom. This band deserves to be playing bigger venues than trees. Their day will come soon.
